Just received my contributor's copies of The Cambridge Companion to Fantasy Literature. Includes as well essays by such august writers as Brian Attebery, Gary K. Wolfe, Veronica Schanoes, Greer Gilman, and the editors, Edward James and Farah Mendlesohn. In here there be analyses of monsters. Perfect, if not downright essential, for your library. -gf
Of course I clicked all the faster when I noticed the adult content warning, but what about this particular guide to fantasy puts it in the blue? Is it all those shapely vegetables on the cover?

Thanks for the 'grats. I have no idea how I landed the Adult Content warning. Something I did in a previous existence no doubt, coming back to haunt me. It even warns ME that it's adult content when I come here. I keep expecting to find that hackers have spread nude photos of Gardner Dozois all over the page or something...
